The Children's and Youth delegation of the Junta Central Fallera has published the rules for the 52nd Nativity Scene Contest (LII Concurso de Belenes), 2026-2027 edition, run under competitive tender rules. Interested commissions can register from 22 October until 17 November through the JCF Virtual Secretariat (Private Area – Procedures and services – Nativity Scene Contest registration).

The contest keeps its two usual categories, traditional nativity scenes and free-design nativity scenes, each split into two groups by size: category A for displays covering more than 8 square metres and category B for those between 3 and 8 square metres. Participating commissions agree to set up their nativity scene in their casal, in a prominent spot, and to have it ready before 4 December.

After a last-minute change to the visit schedule, the jury will call at the casals on 4 December in the afternoon (5:00–8:30 pm) and 5 December all day (9:00 am–1:30 pm and 4:00–9:00 pm). Visits wrap up on Sunday 6 December in the afternoon, from approximately 4:00 to 8:30 pm.

The contest aims to boost the festive and cultural activity of the commissions within the Fallas sphere, and it is part of the JCF's contest calendar for the 2026-2027 term, which has also kicked off the playbacks, the presentation contest and the nativity scene contest. The full rules are available on the JCF website.
